Residency

The Center for Non-Machines Research hosts a residency program, welcoming artists, researchers, and friends from diverse disciplines. Its activities revolve around a central question: How can we perceive life as it is? Situated an hour’s walk from the Acropolis at Arkesinis 9, the center seeks to bridge past, present, and future. It occupies a 200 m² site comprising two interconnected small houses with a shared yard. The flat roofs offer an open terrace and a desert garden, while the yard provides a more enclosed green space with a variety of trees. Local cats and pigeons are frequent visitors, inviting residents to extend collaborative frameworks across species boundaries.

Thanks to all contributors of the project including Lia Giannakou (artifacts from rebuilding practice), Javier Perez Aranda (ironwork), Veiko Liis (kitchen), and all who made this project happen. Thanks to sister Vilma Suchockienė, the owner of the house, for supporting the initiative.
